The open list of database entries for users of the MALDI-TOF MS (“MALDI-TOF MS User Platform” referred henceforth as „MALDI-UP“) is intended to bring together users that submit data and interested users of various system devices. Diagnostic and methodological gaps should thereby be more quickly resolved and scientific exchange supported.

For this purpose, information regarding high quality data base entries from users for users will be made available. The list shall provide uniformly presented information on the isolate/material used, its specimen, details on the validity of the designation and the technical details of the spectrum (instrument, cultivation, preparation, etc.), as well as the contact data of the entry submitter (institution, contact person).
